Qatar Secures Spot in FIFAe Nations Cup 2023 Finals

Qatar has earned a place in the finals of the FIFAe Nations Cup 2023 (FeNC) after a successful performance in the playoffs. They overcame the Egyptian and Palestinian national teams to secure their spot in the prestigious tournament.

During the playoffs qualifications, Qatar triumphed with a 3-0 victory over Egypt and a 1-0 win against Palestine. These impressive results propelled them into the July finals.

Although Qatar finished third in the playoffs, falling to Morocco and South Africa in a decisive match, they have proven their skills and competitiveness in the esports arena.

The FIFAe Nations Series 2023 teams were divided into five different zones for qualification. The top nations from each zone advanced to the playoffs, where they battled for a place in the FIFAe Nations finals.

In the history of the tournament, the French team emerged as winners in the inaugural edition held in 2019, while the Brazilian team claimed victory in the most recent competition held in Denmark in 2022.

The FeNC tournament will feature 24 teams divided into four groups, with 16 teams progressing to the knockout stage and two teams ultimately reaching the final.

The selection of in-game squads for each national team is done through a meeting organized by FIFA, where participating countries choose players using the ultimate team mode. Each national team adds players alternately to complete their squad lists, with two players and one substitute representing each team.

Matches are played in a 2v2 format, with each pair of national teams playing two games to determine the aggregate goals scored, leading to the final result.

As part of their preparations for the finals, the Qatari national team will engage in online friendly games. On Thursday, they will face off against the Bahraini team, with the winner earning a place in the West Asia Championship.
