Cannes pulsated to the hypnotic beats of techno, courtesy of Stephan Bodzin on the last day of Plages Électroniques in 2023.
This German producer, active since 1995, spent much of his career in the background, contributing to the rise of emerging artists and composing music for prestigious theaters. However, it was in the early 2000s, collaborating with artists like Thomas Schumacher, Oliver Huntemann, and Marc Romboy, that he began to gain recognition from the mainstream audience.
In 2006, Stephan Bodzin took a leap forward, launching his solo career and establishing the Herzblut label. His first track under this label, "Kerosene," was released in September of that year, marking the beginning of his solo journey. A month later, he unveiled his eponymous debut album, followed by the release of the single "Liebe Ist" in March 2007.
Over the years, Stephan Bodzin has evolved into a true techno virtuoso. His solo career led him to perform live, traversing the globe to ignite dancefloors from São Paulo's D-Edge to Gand's I Love Techno, and from Montreal to Tokyo and Melbourne.
On the last day of Plages Électroniques in Cannes, Stephan Bodzin lit up the stage with his charisma and boundless energy. His masterful performance took the audience on a sonic adventure, blending entrancing melodies with pulsating rhythms. It was an unforgettable evening that left an indelible mark on the memories of all those present.
