23rd Edition of Mars aux Musées: Embracing Against the Current, On Monday, March 4th at 11 a.m., the Palais Lascaris in Rue Droite, Nice, will be the focal point for the grand unveiling of the 23rd edition of Mars aux Musées. Under the theme "Against the Current," this year's event promises to be a captivating exploration of culture and innovation.

Among the distinguished guests set to grace the occasion are Robert Roux, Deputy Mayor for Culture; Patrick Mottard, Municipal Councillor responsible for Cinema and the Victorine project, as well as Deputy for Performing Arts and New Cultural Audiences Development; and Ali Douai, Vice President of Education and Pedagogical Innovation at Université Côte d'Azur.

A collaborative effort between Université Côte d'Azur and the City of Nice, Mars aux Musées returns from March 9th to March 23rd, 2024. Curated by students from the Master's program in Event Management, Mediation, and Cultural Engineering (EMIC) at Université Côte d'Azur, this edition promises to offer a fresh perspective on five of Nice's prominent museums.

Each museum will embark on its own thematic journey. Expect to witness aesthetic clashes at the Jules Chéret Fine Arts Museum, embrace nonchalance at the Anatole Jakovsky International Museum of Naïve Art, delve into scientific revelations at the Museum of Natural History, experience urban spectacles at the Masséna Museum, and be transported into a futuristic atmosphere at the Archaeological Museum of Nice-Cimiez.

The lineup, boldly dubbed "against the current," will feature performances by Accorps Crew, the enchanting melodies of singer Helia, uproarious comedy from the Bobar Comedy Club, the artistic prowess of Nigina's brushes, the dynamic energy of La Sauce, the infectious beats of K-pop sensation Risin', and the avant-garde fusion of Goku Kepler and Global Industrial Culture.

In addition to the main festival, Mars aux Musées offers "mars'terclasses" throughout March, providing students with unique learning opportunities. For the first time, these classes will extend beyond traditional museum settings to include venues such as the Victorine Studios and the Charles Nègre Museum of Photography.

In 2023, Mars aux Musées attracted over 2,300 visitors who were enthralled by the works of 70 artists across five museums.

The complete program for the 2024 edition of Mars aux Musées will be unveiled by the students on Monday, March 4th, 2024, at 11 a.m. at the Palais Lascaris.
