As tensions continue to escalate between India and Pakistan, the State of Qatar has called for restraint and renewed efforts toward diplomatic engagement.
In an official statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Qatar expressed deep concern over the growing hostilities and emphasized the urgent need for calm, dialogue, and peaceful resolution of disputes.
“The State of Qatar urges all parties to exercise maximum restraint and to engage in constructive dialogue to prevent further escalation and ensure regional stability,” the statement read. “Diplomatic solutions and open channels of communication remain the most effective path to peace.”
Qatar reiterated its commitment to supporting international efforts that aim to defuse tensions and promote lasting peace in South Asia. The Gulf nation also reaffirmed its respect for international law and the principles of sovereignty and non-interference.
India and Pakistan have long-standing disputes, particularly over the Kashmir region, and recent developments have reignited concerns of conflict. The international community has called on both countries to prioritize dialogue and de-escalation.
