“Vanguard” Named Best Series at Monte-Carlo TV Festival, Robin Wright Honored With Career Award

At the 64th Monte-Carlo Television Festival held on Tuesday, Sweden’s “Vanguard” was awarded the prestigious Golden Nymph for Best Series. Germany’s “On a Day in September” also took home top honors, winning Best Fiction Film.

Hollywood actress Robin Wright received the Crystal Nymph Award, presented by Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco, in recognition of her outstanding contributions and lasting impact on the entertainment industry.

The ceremony opened with a surprising moment during an energetic dance routine performed by co-hosts — British actor Ricky Whittle and French pop star Shy’m. A wardrobe mishap, reminiscent of Janet Jackson’s Super Bowl incident, occurred on stage. Although the moment was broadcast live on TVMonaco and captured by media outlets like Getty Images, both performers handled the situation with composure, continuing the show seamlessly and without comment.

The star-studded evening once again brought together leading figures from the global television landscape, all gathered in the glamour of Monaco to celebrate storytelling, artistic excellence, and international creativity on screen.
