UAE School Calendar 2025–26: 135 Days Off and Well-Planned Holidays

For the 2025–26 academic year, UAE students will have 135 days away from classes, according to the Ministry of Education. Of the 313 days in the academic year, 178 will be instructional, while the rest cover weekends, public holidays, and breaks.

The schedule includes 68 weekends, four public holidays, and midterms: seven days in the first semester, five in the second, and seven in the third. Students will also enjoy a 30-day winter holiday and a 14-day spring break, providing time to rest, travel, or pursue hobbies.

Holidays have been aligned with important cultural celebrations. Eid Al Fitr overlaps with spring break, Eid Al Adha occurs during the third-semester midterm, and New Year’s Day coincides with winter holiday. This ensures that students can observe national and religious events without disrupting their academic progress.

Education authorities stressed the importance of balancing instruction with wellbeing. Regular breaks throughout the year help students manage stress, improve focus, and enjoy meaningful time with family.

The UAE’s 2025–26 calendar demonstrates a modern approach to education, combining rigorous academic schedules with generous, well-timed breaks, reinforcing both student achievement and personal development.
