Qatar to Launch Two International-Standard Public Schools Next Year

Qatar’s Minister of Education and Higher Education, Lolwah Al-Khater, has announced that two public schools following International Baccalaureate (IB) standards will be launched next year on a pilot basis.

The initiative aims to provide families with more educational choices while promoting equality in public education. These schools will offer students an internationally recognized curriculum, fostering critical thinking, creativity, and global competencies alongside Qatar’s national education objectives.

Minister Al-Khater highlighted that the pilot program reflects Qatar’s commitment to enhancing the quality of education, preparing students for higher education and the demands of the global workforce, and ensuring that public schools can meet diverse learning needs.

The new IB public schools are part of Qatar’s broader strategy to modernize its education system and provide opportunities for all students to thrive academically in a competitive international environment.
