Unveiling Cutting-Edge Innovations
During the Monaco Yacht Show 2024, Benetti proudly presented its latest developments in eco-friendly yachting, unveiling new models from its acclaimed B.Yond and Motopanfilo families. True to its identity as a distinguished yacht builder, Benetti persistently extends its limits by integrating innovative technological solutions to address the escalating ecological demands of the luxury yachting sector.
Dedication to Eco-Friendly Living
Benetti reiterates its commitment to an eco-friendly lifestyle by announcing the production of eight hybrid yachts for its B.Yond and B.Now series. At a press gathering held at the prestigious Hotel Hermitage in Monte-Carlo, aligned with the Monaco Yacht Show, the brand showcased its recent advancements to international media and a network of brokers.
Marco Valle, the Chief Executive Officer of Benetti, opened the conference by highlighting the impressive accomplishments of the group during the 2023-2024 period. With revenues of €1.3 billion and a backlog of €2.6 billion, Benetti expects a growth of 15% for the upcoming season. This target is bolstered by a substantial investment plan of €160 million, aimed at continuing the brand’s strategic priorities for the period from 2025 to 2027.
This remarkable achievement is largely attributed to the outstanding performance of the Benetti division, which currently boasts 58 units on order, totaling 30,900 gross tons, as confirmed by Daniela Petrozzi, Benetti's sales director.
The B.Yond Series: Pioneering Sustainable Exploration
The B.Yond family is distinguished for its capacity to blend innovative technology with environmental consciousness. Benetti develops this range around the ethos of sustainable living, embedding cutting-edge solutions to minimize the ecological impact of luxury vessels.
Thanks to advanced electrification systems, yachts in the B.Yond series achieve fuel consumption reductions of up to 20%. Benetti offers the most extensive hybrid range in the market, with 90% of its models available in hybrid or diesel-electric configurations. Onboard energy management is further optimized through heat recovery systems and direct expansion air-conditioning technology, resulting in service consumption reductions of up to 40%.
The shipyard has also entered into a partnership with ENI for the utilization of HVO (hydrotreated vegetable oil) biofuel throughout all its operations. This collaboration has enabled a decrease of CO2 emissions by 1,000 tons annually. This fuel, compatible with the entire Benetti fleet, reduces greenhouse gas emissions by up to 90% when used as onboard fuel.
Benetti goes above and beyond by systematically incorporating SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) systems on its yachts below 500 GT, even though this feature is not legally mandated for this segment. According to Benetti’s assessments, this initiative curtails NOx emissions by 2.5 tons per yacht each year, thereby enabling its vessels to navigate within protected marine zones.
B.Yond 57M: Versatility in Luxury Yachting
The B.Yond 57M captures the essence of adventure with a design that accommodates various cruising styles. This model presents three stern configurations: the "Beach" variant, showcasing a spacious outdoor area and pool; the "Air" variant, featuring a touch-and-go helipad that can be converted into a veranda; and the "Water" variant, designed for housing marine exploration equipment.
The extensive glazing of this 57-meter yacht allows natural light to flood the interiors, utilizing carbon black-finished wood to create bright spaces with sweeping views of the sea. This model is engineered to provide an opulent cruising experience with minimal ecological impact, thanks to its innovative hybrid technology.
B.Yond 40M: Expanding the Horizon of Yachting
The B.Yond 40M stands out with its four decks, each dedicated to a specific purpose. With approximately 150 square meters of social areas enveloped by floor-to-ceiling windows, this 40-meter yacht offers interiors filled with natural light. The lighter tones, including bleached brushed oak, provide depth and character while ensuring durability.
This model, designed for extended journeys, offers adaptable configurations that cater to the individual needs of its users while maintaining the classic elegance that defines the Benetti brand.
Motopanfilo 45M: Modern Aesthetics for Unique Experiences
The Motopanfilo 45M, constructed with a steel hull and aluminum superstructure, reinterprets the "Navetta" concept by fusing modernity and sociability. Designed in collaboration with RWD for the exterior styling and Lazzarini & Pickering Architetti for the interior layout, this model introduces the Veranda Deck® concept.
The Veranda Deck® completely opens the salon on the main deck on three sides, creating a seamless connection to a veranda that overlooks the infinity pool, providing unobstructed views of the horizon. Natural materials such as wicker, rattan, and bamboo adorn the interior and exterior spaces, creating a unique sensory experience that enhances the connection with nature.
B.Loft: A Revolutionary Perspective on Yachting
The B.Loft project, conceived by Cassetta Yacht Designers, represents a novel vision of architecture aboard yachts. With its modern residential loft ambiance, B.Loft delivers a distinctive experience on a megayacht. One of the groundbreaking features of this project is the Cabana located on the main deck, which reimagines the beach club concept.
This panoramic space offers a 270-degree view, complemented by foldable wings that further extend the available area. B.Loft merges the volumes of a villa with the brightness of a loft, boasting ceilings that reach about four meters in height and expansive outdoor spaces, some of which can be converted into interiors for optimal flexibility and customization.
