U.S. Stock Indices Close on a Decline

New York, October 20 - U.S. stock indices closed with a decline at the end of Friday's trading session.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average, a benchmark index, concluded the trading session down by 286.89 points, equivalent to 0.9 percent, settling at 33,127.28 points.

The broader-based Standard & Poor's 500 index lost 53.84 points, or 1.3 percent, to reach 4,224.16 points.

The Nasdaq Composite Index, which includes technology stocks, shed 202.37 points, or 1.5 percent, closing at 12,983.81 points.

This decline in U.S. stock indices marks a significant shift in market sentiment.
