Qatar Showcases Luxury Offerings at ILTM Cannes

Qatar is swiftly emerging as a premier destination, aligning its tourism strategy with the objectives of Qatar's National Vision 2030. A central tenet of this strategy is to place visitors at the forefront of all new initiatives and programs.

In this vein, Qatar Tourism recently made a robust appearance at ILTM Cannes 2021, bringing with it a formidable Qatari delegation to spotlight the country's latest tourism projects and luxurious offerings. As an integral part of the "Qatar Tourism Strategy 2030," the nation has introduced an array of captivating experiences, including an influx of opulent hotels, theme parks, shops, and significant leisure projects, many of which have either recently opened or are scheduled to debut in the run-up to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM.

To accommodate the rising number of tourists, Qatar is actively constructing more than 100 new hotels and serviced apartments. Among these new properties are prestigious establishments such as the Raffles Hotel and Fairmont Hotel and Resort at Katara Towers, Rosewood Doha, and the St. Regis Marsa Arabia Island. These additions are poised to enhance Qatar's appeal to high-value travelers, providing more options alongside its existing portfolio of 80 five and four-star hotels.

Berthold Trenkel, Chief Operating Officer of Qatar Tourism, expressed enthusiasm for expanding the nation's tourism offerings and extending a warm welcome to visitors, stating, "We are continuing to expand our tourism offering and are excited to introduce guests to the best of Qatari hospitality. In 2019, we saw over two million visitors to Qatar, and we hope to see similar growth trends now that we are welcoming visitors back to the country again."

These developments reflect Qatar's commitment to elevating the visitor experience and showcasing the best of Qatari luxury and hospitality, aligning its tourism proposition with global standards and Qatar National Vision 2030.
