French Traditional Baguette Contest Crowns Champions in Nice

French Traditional Baguette Contest Crowns Champions in Nice: At the conclusion of the Agecotel exhibition yesterday, the Federation of Master Bakers and Pastry Chefs of the Alpes-Maritimes (06), led by President Mr. Gilles Dutto, orchestrated a highly anticipated event: the competition for the finest traditional French baguette in the region.

The number of participants soared yet again, with an impressive 30 candidates vying for the coveted title. This robust turnout underscores the continuously growing enthusiasm for this event.

The caliber of the products presented elevated the competition, pleasing the palates of spectators accustomed to this must-attend occasion.

An exceptional jury presided over the deliberations, featuring Mr. Thomas Subrin, Best Craftsman of France in bakery, alongside Mr. Philippe Philmar, instructor at the CFA de Carros, and Mr. Philippe Courtois.

The deserving winners of this competition are:

  • Maxime Michineau from Le Patio in Roquebrune Cap Martin
  • Armin Adjari from L’Atelier Bio du Pain in Saint-André-la-Roche
  • Mathieu Dupuy from Chez Ma’mie in Tourrettes-sur-Loup

We extend our warm congratulations to these talented artisans, as well as to all the other finalists who showcased their excellence.

Our partners, Solution Boul Pat, Grands Moulins de Paris, Nicot Meunerie, Les Moulins Engagés, Minoterie Forest, Moulin Céard, and MAPA Assurances, generously rewarded the winners, contributing to the success of this event.

The baguettes, symbolic of this competition, were handed over to the Civil Protection of the Alpes-Maritimes to be distributed during the evening patrols, illustrating the generosity and solidarity that characterize this artisanal community.

Simultaneously, throughout the day, Grands Moulins de Paris animated their booth by presenting products as aesthetically pleasing as they were flavorful, delighting the taste buds of visitors.

In summary, this French Traditional Baguette Contest once again showcased the exceptional craftsmanship and passionate dedication that drive the community of bakers and pastry chefs in the Alpes-Maritimes.
