Saudi Arabia has reinforced its support for Pakistan by committing $121 million to consultancy contracts for major health and energy projects. This partnership aims to modernize critical infrastructure, improve services, and create tangible benefits for citizens.

The King Salman Hospital in Tarlai will benefit from a $20 million grant to upgrade facilities, expand medical services, and ensure higher-quality patient care. In the energy sector, Saudi Arabia is financing Shounter and Jagran hydropower projects with $66 million and $35 million in concessional loans, enhancing renewable energy supply and supporting sustainable development.

Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki emphasized the long-term commitment of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan’s progress. Pakistan’s Dr. Kazim Niaz praised Riyadh’s transformative support, referencing past grants of $533 million and concessional loans of $1.2 billion that have contributed to significant improvements in healthcare and infrastructure.

These projects aim to generate new employment opportunities, strengthen healthcare and energy systems, and directly benefit thousands of Pakistanis. By investing in modern infrastructure and sustainable energy, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan are building a framework for long-term development, reinforcing both bilateral relations and public welfare.

The partnership highlights how targeted investments in healthcare and renewable energy can create a positive, lasting impact, combining modernization with social progress. Through these initiatives, Saudi Arabia demonstrates a strategic, people-centered approach to international cooperation, fostering growth, resilience, and prosperity in Pakistan.
