Qatar, known for hosting the historic 2022 FIFA World Cup, is not only the sports capital of Asia but also of the world, according to Jassim Abdulaziz Al Jassim, the CEO of AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023. Qatar will be hosting the Asian Cup for the third time in its history, following its successful hosting of the World Cup.

Al Jassim emphasized Qatar commitment to preserving the heritage of the continental competition and stated that they aim to continue the World Cup legacy by providing top-notch venues, infrastructure, and organization for the upcoming tournament.

The Asian Cup matches will be held in eight stadiums, including six used during the World Cup. Qatar experience in organizing major sporting events and its state-of-the-art infrastructure will ensure a memorable Asian Cup. Al Jassim also mentioned that Qatar plans to host renowned competitions even after the Asian Cup, building on the legacy of Qatar 2022.

With the successful World Cup behind them, Qatar is eager to showcase their talent in some of the world finest sporting arenas during the Asian Cup.
