LMRA CEO Meets with Philippines Ambassador
Nibras Talib, the Chief Executive Officer of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) and Chairman of the National Committee to Combat Trafficking in Persons, hosted Anne Jalando-On Louis, the Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines to the Kingdom of Bahrain, at his office.
The CEO engaged in discussions with the Ambassador from the Philippines regarding bilateral relations and matters pertaining to the labor market. He emphasized the significance of collaboration between government agencies and diplomatic missions in raising awareness among expatriate workers about their rights and responsibilities, as well as the importance of complying with the regulations and laws of the Kingdom.
During the meeting, the LMRA CEO underscored the Kingdom's endeavors to maintain a conducive working environment characterized by stability, justice, and fairness for all stakeholders. He also mentioned the launch of several key initiatives in this regard, notably the labor registration system, the optional insurance system for domestic workers, and the wage protection system.
